Overview
Welcome to KetoPet. The terms "we", "us," and "our" refer to KetoPet. KetoPet provides free information, guides, and tools about feeding dogs through this website, our emails, and our online community (together, the "Services"). KetoPet is powered by Shopify.
KetoPet does not sell products or services. Everything here is free, and always will be.
KetoPet and Visionary Pet Foods are under common ownership.
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Not Veterinary Advice
Everything on KetoPet, including our articles, guides, emails, Quality of Life Score and Keto Diet Calculator, is general information about feeding dogs. It is not veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for your own veterinarian, who knows your dog.
Please talk to your veterinarian before changing your dog's diet, especially if your dog is unwell, taking medication, a puppy, or has a condition such as diabetes, pancreatitis or insulinoma. Feeding plans from the calculator are a starting point only and may not be complete for long-term feeding. Decisions about your dog's care are yours and your veterinarian's.
2. Free Services and Other Websites
We do not sell anything, and we never ask you for payment. Our content may mention or link to products made by other companies, including Visionary Pet Foods. Any purchase you make on another website is between you and that company, under that company's own terms and policies.
3. Using the Services
You may use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree that any information you give us, such as your email address, is accurate and belongs to you. You must be at least the age of majority where you live to sign up for our emails.
4. Emails
If you join our mailing list, download a guide or use the Keto Diet Calculator with your email address, we will send you our guides and emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
5. Our Content
The text, guides, images, videos, research summaries, tools, names and logos on the Services are owned by KetoPet or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You are welcome to read them, print our guides and scorecards for your own use or to share with your veterinarian, and share links to our pages. You may not copy, republish, sell, or adapt our content for other purposes without our written permission.
6. Your Messages and Stories
If you send us questions, feedback, suggestions or stories, you allow us to use them to answer you and to improve the Services. We will not publish your name, your dog's name, photos of your dog or your story without your permission.
7. Community Groups and Other Websites
The Services link to websites and communities run by others, such as our Facebook group. Posts by members of those communities are their own views and experiences, not advice from KetoPet or from a veterinarian. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of websites we do not operate.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Services: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to harass, abuse or harm anyone; (c) to send spam or submit false information, including signing others up without their consent; (d) to upload viruses or other harmful code; (e) to scrape, copy or harvest content or data in bulk, including by bots or automated or AI tools; or (f) to interfere with or get around the security of the Services.
9. Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which processes information about your use of the Services in order to provide them. See our Privacy Policy and Shopify's privacy policy (privacy.shopify.com) for more details.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
We work hard to make our information accurate and useful, but it is provided for general information only. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE DISCLAIMERS, SO THEY MAY NOT ALL APPLY TO YOU.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KETOPET, ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, ADVISORS, CONTRACTORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR CLAIM, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION IN THEM, INCLUDING ANY DECISION ABOUT YOUR DOG'S DIET OR CARE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to hold KetoPet and its owners, affiliates and service providers harmless from any claim arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
13. Changes
We may change the Services, or stop providing any part of them, at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
14. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. We may transfer these Terms to a successor organization.
